JASPER: SEASON 9

Episodes:

The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson - No appearance

The Principal and the Pauper - Jasper attends the tribute to Principal Skinner. Later, inexplicably, Jasper goes with the Simpsons, Agnes and Mrs. Krabappel to Capital City to look for Armen Tanzarian, resulting in Grampa coming along too (because Jasper didn't want to go by himself).

Dialogue:

HOMER: "And why is Grampa here?"
GRAMPA: "Cuz Jasper didn't want to come by himself!"

HOMER, MARGE, BART, LISA, MRS. KRABAPPEL, GRAMPA, JASPER: "Yes Mrs. Skinner."

Lisa's Sax - No appearance

Treehouse of Horror VIII - No appearance

The Cartridge Family - No appearance

Bart Star - Jasper, Grampa and the Crazy Old Jewish Man get their hearing tested at the Free Health Fair. Jasper indicates that he can hear the third tone, but Grampa shakes his head and Jasper lowers his hand.

The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons - When Homer and Apu stage the whole Apu-is-married-to-Marge thing, Homer hides out at the Retirement Castle. He is delighted to discover that he can use a wheelchair, but as he is wheeling toward the dining room, Jasper easily outpaces him in a mechanized wheelchair. Later, Homer gets his own mechanized chair and races Jasper again. Jasper and Homer's wheelchairs clash wheels like Ben Hur's chariots, before Jasper finally pulls ahead. Homer pulls out his last card: he abandons his wheelchair and sprints, easily defeating Jasper. Jasper is also greeted by Homer in the recreation room earlier in the episode. Later, Homer takes Apu to relax before his wedding, and ends up in a hot tub with Jasper.

Dialogue:

HOMER: "Oh no you don't!"
JASPER: "Oh yes I do!"

JASPER: "You want me to turn on the bubbles?"

Lisa the Skeptic - Jasper visits the "angel" in the Simpsons garage, just before Dr. Gould announces the results of his test as inconclusive. Jasper also attends Lisa's trial, and is present on the hill as the town of Springfield waits for the apocalypse.

Realty Bites - No appearance

Miracle on Evergreen Terrace - The Simpsons visit the Retirement Castle on Christmas Day, where Grampa tells them that the pharmaceutical man has just dispensed his wares. Jasper dances by, limp as a rag doll and high as a kite. He is later seen as part of the crowd of Springfielders who contribute to the Simpsons Christmas Fund.

Dialogue:

JASPER: "I can't feel nuthin' below my chin!"

All Singing, All Dancing - Clip songs from previous episodes in which Jasper appear include "The Spring in Springfield" (from "Bart After Dark"), "The Monorail Song" (from "Marge vs. The Monorail") and "Ina Gadda da Vida" (from "Bart Sells His Soul").

Bart Carny - No appearance

The Joy of Sect - Jasper is part of the crowd of Springfielders that greets the losing team at the airport, and goes berserk and attacks them.

Deleted Scenes:

Bart and Homer ride on a moving sidewalk at the airport and delight at its power, failing to notice that Grampa and Jasper have walked past them on the regular floor.

Das Bus - No appearance

The Last Temptation of Krust - No appearance

Dumbbell Indemnity - No appearance

Lisa the Simpson - May be Jasper's most substantial contribution to a Simpsons episode. Jasper is seen early in the episode at the Kwik-E-Mart. While Homer tries to enlist Apu's help in selecting the perfect "after-dinner burito," Jasper removes all the ice cream from Apu's freezer and proceeds to seal himself in. Jasper and Apu quickly discover the "freezer geezer." Jasper has frozen himself in an attempt to live to see the future. Apu quickly realizes that he can profit by the spectacle of Jasper in the freezer, and proceeds to turn his establishment into the Freak-e-Mart. Redubbed "Frostillicus," Jasper is the star attraction. This continues until the temperature in Apu's freezer rises high enough to allow Jasper to thaw. Thinking himself in the future, Jasper emerges from his cryostasis, and embarks into the new world. Later, when Apu and Sanjay turn the Kwik-E-Mart into a nudie show, Jasper returns as a customer.

Dialogue:

JASPER: "More comin'..."

JASPER'S LETTER: "I have frozen myself so I may live to see the wonders of the future. Thaw me out when robot wives are cheap and effective. P.S. Please alter my pants as fashion dictates."

HOMER: "Hey look! A freezer man!"

NELSON: "Cool! A freezer geezer!"

GRAMPA: "Me and Frostillicus go back a long way! I used to share a bathroom with Frostillicus. In fact, I got a real funny story about that. Actually it's not so much funny as it is long..."

JASPER: "By gum, it worked! I've awakend in the future! ...Moon Pie.... What a time to be alive!"

JASPER: "Is that you, Apu?! Time has ravaged your once-youthful looks!"

JASPER: "Time traveller discount?"

Reference Note: Moon Pie is a snack-sized chocolate desert.

DVD Note: Frostillicus is featured in the main menu of the third disk of the complete Ninth Season of The Simpsons on DVD.

This Little Wiggy - No appearance

Simpson Tide - Jasper is at the Veterans of Unpopular Wars Hall with Grampa. He is wearing a military uniform.

The Trouble with Trillions - Jasper is part of the crowd of Springfielders celebrating New Year's Eve. He is wearing a purple jacket.

Girly Edition - In a segment of "Bart's People," Bart visits the Veterans of Popular Wars Hall. Jasper can be seen sewing an inaccurately-coloured American flag out of old clothing. (One wonders how he got from being a veteran of an unpopular war to a veteran of a popular war in just two episodes.)

Trash of the Titans - Jasper attends Homer's electoral rally.

King of the Hill - Jasper is part of the crowd attending Homer's descent from the Murderhorn. He is wearing a green parka.

Lost Our Lisa - When Bart remarks that on weekday mornings, old people walk the streets with impunity, Jasper, Grampa, Mrs. Glick and Agnes Skinner walk by. Agnes is on Jasper's arm, and he is holding a blue parasol. They are indeed walking with impunity. Later, Lisa joins Jasper and several other Springfielders waiting for bus number 22a. Jasper appears to have gotten off the bus before it has reached Sycamore Avenue.

Natural Born Kissers - No appearance
